Where these pictures come from
Most images here are real photographs of real food, licensed for commercial use from Unsplash, Pexels, and Wikimedia Commons. Photographers are named below and linked wherever the source provides a profile.
A small number are AI-generated illustrations. We used them only for dishes that photo libraries genuinely don’t cover — where stock search returns confidently wrong food — and for abstract product cover art. They are listed separately and labelled plainly, because a site about cultural accuracy shouldn’t quietly pass off a rendering as a record.
